Candle & Wax Melt Care

  • First Burn

When burning your candle for the first time ensure that you burn it until the wax melts across the top evenly to prevent tunneling of your candle, this may take up to 2 hours. Burning your candle under a fan, open window or anywhere that consists of a wind draft decrease burn time, causing uneven burning, smoke and diminished scent throw.

  • Wick Trimming

We recommend trimming your wick before every burn. The wick only needs to be approximately 1/4" in length, keeping it this length will avoid mushrooming which can result in unnecessary soot. This also controls the size of the flame.

  • Burn Time

Candles should not be burnt for more then 4 hours at a time. After 4 hours we recommend you extinguish your candle, allow it to cool and set again. When there is 1/2" of wax left on the bottom stop burning your candle.

  • Between Burns

Keep out of direct sunlight. Use the lid provided with each candle to protect the wax from any dust or particle build up and to eliminate your scent from evaporating which may affect your hot and cold throw. Always store your candles in a cool, dry place.

  • Candle Appearance

Cracks, sinkholes, 'frosting', and other texture changes are expected in soy wax candles. These imperfections happen during the manufacturing process. However, there is nothing to worry about. Those imperfections do not affect the burn, melt, or scent. Actually imperfections like that can be one of the indicators that you have purchased a product made of natural soy wax.

  • Be Safe

    1. Never leave a burning candle unattended; be sure to extinguish the candle before leaving the room.

    2. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

    3. Place candles on a stable, heat resistant surface; away from flammable objects.

    4. Never leave the trimmed wick, matches, or impurities in the wax pool.

  • How To Use

    1. You will need a wax warmer to use your wax melts. The warmer should be placed on a stable surface.

    2. Break off 1-2 wax cubes from the package, depending on the size of your warmer. Pop the package closed to seal in the aroma. Add the wax to the warmer, as it melts it will release sent into the air.

    3. You can reuse your wax cubes for as long as the scent last.

    4. Wax melts should be stored in a cool, dry place. We recommend storing them in their original packaging until you're ready to use them.

  • Cleaning

    1. Never use cleaning products on the wax warmer as the chemicals may release harmful gases when warmed.

    2. To clean the wax melt from the warmer, wait until it has cooled and simply use your hand to pop it out of the dish.

    3. Alternatively, you can also clean out the wax by turning off the wax warmer and immediately add cotton balls to soak up the wax while it is still liquid.

  • Be Safe

    1. Use the wax warmer that is specifically designed for wax melts. Do not add water.

    2. Avoid burning for more than 3 hours at a time.

    3. Never leave your melter unattended.

    4. Place your melter on a heat safe and stable surface.

    5. Keep wax cubes and warmers out of the reach of children and pets.

    6. Do not overfill your wax warmer.

    7. Discontinue use if dish contains less than 1/2" of wax.
